The only time in a couple weeks of work I broke an insert was in turning the wrench flats off of grade 8.8 bolts (interrupted cut) which carbide doesn’t love anyway, but I wanted to see what I could get away with. Might upgrade the inserts when the time comes, but the tool holders are surprisingly nice. I needed a variety of high quality carbide insert holders and these do the job. They are very sturdy and use an insert size that is widely available. I've purchased cheaper sets and been very disappointed, both in the quality of the holder and the quality of the cutting bits that came with them. This set is worth the expense.
