It seems well made and the brain can be taken out of the skull so that both the inside and the outside skull bones can be seen. The skull includes the cranial foramina (holes) for the passage of structures into and out of the cranium. Some vertebra are also shown. The brain itself separates into parts and fits together with magnets. Parts of the skull and brain are numbered, and cards accompanying the model provide labels for the numbers. Unfortunately, the model is not made so that the brain stem passes through the foramen magnum (the hole at the bottom of the skull) and I am a bit concerned that the rod and base on which the brain is attached looks fragile.
