Review: WiFi extender. - This system is awesome. Put 2 in the house and one in the back detached outer building. Works great. Easy set up. Range is better than expected. Very reliable speed.
Review: Fast with 2.5gbps backhaul, limited though - Fairly easy to set up with the app, but you have to go through the whole setup as a regular router before you can switch it to an access point. I use it as an access point and it's fine. So I can't speak to any of the features the Deco app has or how this works as a router. It is limited though. You can't choose the wifi channels or channel width. It has a utility that scans and selects channels, but you can't choose. So if you're advanced users you might get frustrated. It does an ok job choosing but it's really not good that it doesn't let you configure it. It's definitely fast and one of the few access points you'll find on the market with 2.5gbe backhaul, especially at its price point. The wifi speeds are fast, but I wish the signal was a little stronger. You probably want one in each room if you want the fastest speeds possible. The minute you go to the next room or get 10-20ft away the speed goes down by 1/3 to 1/2. This is still fast for wifi. In my testing the speed was 1.3gbps within 10ft and 800mbps on the other side of the wall in the next room. 500mbps in that same room on the other end maybe 20ft away total with a wall. I think it's somewhat typical of wifi and the wifi 6 frequency, but I think it could be better. I think mesh wifi systems are designed to make you need a bunch. In a 2,000 - 3,000 sq.ft. home you'll probably need 3 if not more depending on walls and obstacles. IF you want top speeds. You'll be fine with probably just 2 if you're ok with speeds around 100mbps. You'll probably want this one if 2.5gbe backhaul is important to you. Otherwise it's average in my opinion. You could certainly do worse.

**Q: We got 2 two packs and we want to have all four on our network. But it won’t let me have more than 3 in the app. How do I connect the fourth?**
A: TP Link allows up to 10 nodes on one network. I had trouble adding my 3rd node. I found that it helped out a lot to power them on and add them one at a time. Also if you are doing “wireless backhaul” your 4th node may be to far away from the other 3 nodes to establish a connection. 
  I would highly recommend running Ethernet cable to each node if at all possible in your setup. I did this and it doubled the speeds on my network. Hope this helps a little.

**Q: What's the difference between the deco X25 and this mesh system?**
A: Hi! The primary difference is the bandwidth. The X55 is an AX3000 system, offering up to 574 Mbps over 2.4GHz, and up to 2402 Mbps over 5GHz. The X25 is an AX1800 system, offering up to 574 Mbps over 2.4GHz and up to 1201 Mbps over 5GHz.

**Q: Have 3000 sq foot house but want to add on blink WiFi cameras outside. Will the system be strong enough?**
A: Yes. We have about 3700 sq ft. Thus the need for a mesh system. We have a detached garage with a blink camera perhaps 250 feet away from the house. I placed on of these mesh devices upstairs in the house for another work room.  The blink camera is working just fine. 

For point of reference - house is solid brick with interior walls also being brick covered with plaster (house is circa 1840's).  So it has some solid walls to go through but the blink still works fine.

**Q: Can i connect these to a mobile hotspot and then plug ethernet from my pc into the deco unit? then i could connect ethernet cable to my jetpack?**
A: No, the first node has to connect via ethernet, as I've just discovered while trying to connect my outdoor to my existing wifi, which it won't do.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Much better coverage

Was pretty easy to set up, get configured and start operating. Really improved my coverage (2800 sq. ft main and 2800 sq. ft unfinished basement). I had wi-fi extenders before that worked well, but I want to try and extend it out to my barn (haven't tested coverage there, yet). But so far, really good. Made streaming from the basement much better and from my amazon stick on my TV in the living room much better. I am happy with it so far.
