Oh, I also change the spark plug wires when I change plugs. In my experience you can damage a wire just pulling it, or find one abraded from rubbing on a motor part. You are there anyway. I see quicker starts, better idle, and maybe even an increase in horse power. I do recommend careful action to set plug gap. The iridium positive core is very small and might be damaged by efforts to set gap.
