For me using the second m.2 slot would deactivate one of my other GPU PCIE connections so the other adapter will be a spare.I am VERY pleased that an additional power connection was not needed for this.This can be broken easily to fit multiple different m.2 form factors. I had to break mine at the first score mark because of the tight fit beneath my cpu cooler.One possible improvement I might suggest is to have the USB cables be 90 degree bent angles. As you can see in my photo the Cryorig H7 cooler makes for a very tight fit with this.I will say I was happy that that this let me take my rig from 6 to the max of 7 GPUs that my motherboard would support.Ultimately I had to discontinue use of this because the electric draw on the available 15 AMP circuit in my home was too much. The continued use of the 7th card generated significant heat onto the power cord, apc surge protector, power receptical and the branch circuit itself. That does not impact my review of this product, just something for you to think of. A 7th card can be in increase of 15% or more depending on what you install in the slot. If you have a dedicated 20 amp circuit with 12-2 wiring you will probably be all set. But just pay attention to your power draw.If you’re in that same situation as I noted above, you can leave a card disabled in device manager and keep it plugged in as a spare. Then just enable as needed when you swap out or replace other cards. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far good *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2018* I have 3 GPUs running with these extenders. So far everyone works on Molex connector. I tried SATA connector on one and it was not recognizing. Not sure if it was GPU or just pcie riser. I have seen some GPU don’t work on certain PCIe slot either. I could not OC the card as high as others and it crashes when I limit the power consumption of the cards, but this could be due to many other factors.
