(This is for an elderly person.) IE, does one have to touch one of the buttons ABOVE the dial first?** A: to start you just press the big button on the wheel, then you rotate the wheel to increase time, or press again for an additional 30s cooking time per press. **Q: Is there a 15 or 30 second quick-start on this microwave and is it possible to increase the timer in 15 or 30 second increments?** A: Yes, one press of the button gives 30 secs, multiple presses raise this in 30s increments. The initial time is set (in 30s increments) there is an outer ring that allows you to do fine adjustments either up or down from the 30, 60, 90 secs initially selected this goes in 5s increments. Hope this helps PS this is the best microwave we have ever had! **Q: Which are the height and width dimensions on this model?** A: Approx height 33 cm from counter to top of unit and approx 49 cm width. **Q: Does this item come with a "uk 3-pin plug"?** A: Yes, it does. Just something to consider though regarding this microwave. Any cooking off longer than 20 to 30 minutes, it will cut out as needs to cool down for approximately 10 minutes. A safety feature to prevent overheating but, overly sensitive or a design flaw. I have replaced this Hotpoint with an alternative manufacturer and no similar issue. I would respectfully suggest you read reviews on this model prior to purchase as issue was not isolated to mine. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars A must for a busy family *by M***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 May 2021* This microwave is spacious and cooks the food evenly. What is very useful is if something requires to done at 800 this machine can do it if you need to cook something at 700w it can do that too because there is a range of different wattage so this is where it is value for money no more guess work. With it being a flat bed it is very easy to keep clean, with the microwave that have a turntables eventually it wears a grove where the paint comes away and looks unsightly but not with this flat bed. The defrost setting on this microwave is great too with my previous microwave I found that even set on defrost sometimes the item looked like it was starting to cook but this one there is none of that it defrosts perfectly So I have the confidence to use the defrost setting knowing that is what the machine has done, so no more need to get something out of the freezer in advance because I have the confidence that the machine will defrost it perfectlyThe instructions are easy to use the flat bed is easy to keep clean and because there are a range of wattage this machine is great value for money ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Very easy to use *by D***9 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2022* This was a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be, but we have soon got used to it. It seems strange to not see the food turning around, but it heats up very well. No hot spots. We only switch it on when we need it. You do have to set the clock to use it, but if it’s only to heat something up, the time doesn’t have to be exact. Haven’t used all its programmes yet, but very pleased with it so far. Does well to thaw out bread without making it feel crispy. It cost a bit more, but definitely worth it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Superb microwave. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 October 2022* This is the best microwave I’ve ever had. I find it very easy to use. It looks lovely and my square plates fit beautifully. Much much better than a microwave with a turntable. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/54946359-hotpoint-mwh2621mb-25l-800w-ultimate-collection-freestanding-microwave-in-black](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/54946359-hotpoint-mwh2621mb-25l-800w-ultimate-collection-freestanding-microwave-in-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
