Trying to answer directly would be difficult but I would happily drink from it within a week - anything past that would be your choice. If you intend to drink after a longer period, you could always add a water treatment tablet to sterilise it. Hope this helps! **Q: Do you think i can put petrol in?** A: If it doesn’t say you can don’t risk it- it could melt is & spill fuel everywhere! **Q: Can I buy a replacement tap? The lever on mine broke after less than a year of minimal usage** A: The whole item was less than a tenner. A new tap would probably be£4.00. Plus the hassle of tracking on down. Just get a new container. **Q: This is disappointing does not seem to pour very well. The spigot hole doesn’t completely line up with the hole in the tap tube.
