This product simply sprays colored water. Additionally, it stained my jacket in blue splotches. **Q: what is the shelf life of this item?** A: It doesn't offer much (if any) protection when new, so I don't think it can get any worse with age. **Q: Does it affect your dryer** A: i love this stuff and have not had an issue with washing/drying afterwards and no it has not affected my dryer! **Q: Will this add waterproofing to any items it’s sprayed at? Including guns, radios, and flashlights?** A: As far as waterproofing I wasn't impressed.
