I bought it because the hygrometers on my humidifier, dehumidifier and two small stand-alone hygrometers all disagree, by as much as 10%. I figured a dedicated larger and more expensive hand-held unit should be more accurate. My big complaint is that the instructions are in Chinese, and I don't happen to read Chinese. The temperature readout is in centigrade, and I haven't been able to figure out how to change it to Fahrenheit.-------------------------------------------------------Update: Five days after contacting seller, still no response regarding instructions in English. Lowering rating from 3 stars to two. There seem to be a number of modes to operate this unit, but I have no idea how, and I'm not certain if I'm getting accurate information.---------------------------------------------------------I sent another email to the vendor, and got a response this time; they sent the English version of the manual. There a no instructions in english that comes with the unit. Right out of the package it is stuck at 125C and 100% RH. It is totally useless. I have tried hundreds of button combinations trying to get it to reset or read correctly to no avail.
