Nonetheless, I decided that I would treat the cheaply-made, over-priced instrument with care, and I decided to purchase a case for it. This soft-covered case is well-made. It is a high quality case that fits my balalaika like a glove. Place the instrument, string side down into the case, and zip the sides. There is a zipper pocket that could hold extra strings. The strap is designed to place over one shoulder or two (because there are two metal rings), and there is a sturdy handle so the instrument could be held like a suitcase. This case is likely worth more than the instrument I purchased. I think it is well worth protecting a musical instrument, and I highly recommend this case.
