Well, over the years, its length has been substantially reduced where leaking sections have been cut out and, frankly, we'd had enough. The new hose, compared with the old one, is wonderful. I'll be surprised if it ever kinks or leaks and I can't think how it could be improved. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. If you want something which does the job properly without you having to compromise to accommodate its failings, this hose will not disappoint, whereas many cheaper offerings will. Disappoint, that is. I bought a new Hoselock spraygun, which I'll give its own review in a minute, to go with the new hose and replace the two old ones we had which, while doing the job, shared the water with me or the surrounding area and were driving me nuts. The new one is a joy to use, all the water comes out of the nozzles, all of it goes onto the plants and none of it leaks over me. Couldn't be happier.
