We found this cute little red one,reasonably priced. It arrived fairly quick. I gave it a quick wipe with alcohol spray and a paper towel on the outside. Plugged it in tried all the settings and worked right away flawlessly. I liked that it toasted the bread in half the time that our old "loser" toaster did (so win-win). It also has a feature on it for frozen items, which has really come in handy. You can also make the toast raise up a little so that you won't burn your fingers getting it out (but we use wooden tongs anyway, so haven't needed to try that). The slots are wide enough (but not overly wide, so they would not be useful for extra wide bread slices...the kind you'd see with belgium waffles or something. But wide enough for slightly larger bread, so that's good. The bright red is nice but not obnoxiously red. We even got a compliment on it from a visitor. Nothing else in the kitchen is red, so it stands out, but not so much to say "HEY...OVER HEEEEERE!" All together, we like it a lot. It's lightweight, pretty and works fast,easy to clean too.
