A: The top has a smooth finish, more like a playing surface, so the need for a poly coating is probably not necessary.

**Q: Can I purchase just the flocking tray alone? Or does anyone know where I can find one?**
A: You cant order it separately. It is built in the case

**Q: Are the checkers pieces ridged and stackable?**
A: Its a very nice set. I don't know what you mean by stackable.  The are separately carved pieces.  They do not stack on top of one another.  The checkers will stack though.

**Q: We bought this chess/checkers set a year ago and love it. We are missing one checker piece. How do I order a replacement piece?**
