Now I turn the Bluetooth on my cell phone to "on" to connect with the Cell 2 jack and BOOM! I now have a portable Land line set up that just costs me $16 a month. And Yes this phone works Amazing. The middle of the handset has a switch to turn the volume up and down. I keep my flip phone next to this phone as a caller ID because the face shows who is calling. This phone IS LOUD. If you put it in a full and carpeted room then yes the acoustics will be muffled down to hard to hear so I put in my hall and the sound bounces off the walls loudly. The dial keys are quality feel and there is a panel where my finger is to place your phone # ....This phone does not use batteries or plug into the wall.
