## Description

Entoend Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper offers an effective, pesticide free solution to control fungus gnats and protect your house plants. Made from high-purity diatomaceous earth, this grit serves as a barrier repellent, preventing female fungus gnats from laying eggs in the soil. When applied to the topsoil of house plants, the granules create a physical barrier that disrupts the fungus gnat lifecycle. The barrier deterrent is made from diatomaceous earth, a naturally occurring mineral composed of fossilised diatoms. These microscopic fossils are highly absorbent and abrasive, effectively drying out the top soil and dehydrating and killing larvae of flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and midges in the soil. As long as the granules remain dry, they provide continuous protection, deterring adult gnats from laying eggs and thus offering long-lasting indoor plant defence. In addition to its pest control benefits, Entoend Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper enhances plant health by serving as a nutrient booster. The grit has horticultural benefits, containing valuable minerals such as silica, calcium, magnesium, and iron. The structure of our granular gnat topper also improve soil water retention, microbial activity, and aeration. The granules also mean the product is mess-free and easy to apply. Simply pour a 15-20mm deep layer over the entire surface of your houseplant soil for effective gnat prevention. For plants already infested, it is recommended to replace the potting mix with one low in organic matter and then apply the gnat topper. The granular form ensures a tidy application process, making plant care straightforward and hassle-free. In summary, Entoend Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper is a versatile, natural, and effective choice for keeping houseplants healthy and pest-free. Its dual role as a pest deterrent and a nutrient booster makes it an essential addition to plant care routines, ensuring your indoor greenery thrives without the need for chemical insecticides or pesticides.

## Features

- DIATOMACEOUS EARTH PEST CONTROL - Entoend Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper grit is a barrier repellent and deterrent to stop fungus gnat (sciarid flies) from laying eggs in house plant soil. When applied to houseplant top soil, the granules physically prevent female fungus gnats from being able lay eggs in the soil. Additionally, the absorbent nature of diatomaceous earth creates an unfavourable environment for the gnat larvae, stopping their development.
- LONG LASTING INDOOR FLY DETERRENT - Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally-occurring mineral made up of the fossilised remains of types of algae called diatoms. These microscopic fossils are highly absorbent and have an abrasive surface that dehydrates and kills fly, gnat, mosquito and midge larvae. The fungus gnat granules then continue to provide long lasting plant protection by working as a deterrent for egg laying females for as long as the grit remains dry.
- PESTICIDE FREE FUNGUS GNAT CONTROL - Entoend Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper acts as an effective indoor house plant fly killer by breaking the fungus gnat lifecycle without the need for insecticide sprays. Entoend focus on plant health and protection, so the diatomaceous earth used in our house plant soil topper is always high purity to ensure the safety for plants. Other than diatoms, our diatomaceous earth grit contains naturally-occurring volcanic ash lava deposits and clays (smectite).
- MESS-FREE CLEAN SOLUTION - Entoend Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper comes in a convenient granular form, making application easy and tidy. Simply pour a 15-20mm deep layer over the entire surface of your house plant soil for effective fungus gnat prevention. For plants already infested with fungus gnats, replace the potting mix with one that is low in organic matter for best results and apply the gnat topper as above.
- NUTRIENT BOOSTER FOR HEALTHY PLANTS – Entoend Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper can also be used as a horticultural grit or gravel mulch. When changing indoor plant pots or replacing the Fungus Gnat Plant Pot Topper, incorporate the grit into new indoor pots or outdoor beds to provide silica, calcium, magnesium and iron into the soil. The grit also helps increase soil water retention, microbial activity and aeration.
- FUNGUS GNAT CONTROL – Our diatomaceous earth plant pot topper grit is an effective form of fungus gnat control and deterrent. It will also protect plants from similar soil dwelling pests such as other gnats, black flies and mosquitoes. For other pests such as aphids, fruit flies, thrips and drains flies, use other targeted pest control products – for fruit flies, try the Entoend Fruit Fly Trap.
