## Overview

The Penetrator 18" Aluminum Screw Earth Anchor is a robust and versatile anchoring solution, capable of holding up to 2,500lbs. ## Description

The PE18SQ is a 18” long, reusable screw anchor made of lightweight heat treated aluminum. The PE18SQ is easy to install using a 1/2" square drive with either an impact wrench or T-Handle while the flat top minimizes tripping hazards. The 2” wide cast-in lip makes holding down or tying off exceptionally convenient, and can be used along with our multiple Penetrator accessories. Our PE18SQ hold up to 2,500lbs.

Review: They screw. hard packed earth. Came loose with far less force than claimed - Easy to install but holding strength varies quite a bit depending on soil. I would have preferred the 36”
Review: I do wish they included the connector cable since in this form that's pretty much required for them to be useful - These things are incredibly robust. I do wish they included the connector cable since in this form that's pretty much required for them to be useful, but the product itself is great either way. I know they're often used as hold-downs for tents, structures, etc. but for what it's worth they're also great mud anchors for winching / recovery operations. I have two now and use them in a pair about 10' apart with the winch pulling on a strap between the two. You can obviously get additional holding power with more anchors as long as you make sure the load pulls equally on all of them.

These things are incredibly robust. I do wish they included the connector cable since in this form that's pretty much required for them to be useful, but the product itself is great either way.
