Review: Best mashed potatoes ever - This was my first time using a potato ricer and it will not be my last. I ordered this right before Thanksgiving to give my potatoes a lift. Once I had the cubed potatoes cooked to fork tender, I used a cooking oil mesh spoon to place the potatoes into the ricer without any water. The cup is large so I was able to place a good amount of potatoes at a time. It's fairly easy to push the handle down to rice the potatoes. It took maybe 4-5 minutes to rice all 10lbs. Once I added the cream and butter, lightly mixed and tasted I was sold. Fluffy and light mashed potatoes. I had no issues ricing all the potatoes, no sticky mess. I really like the design of this ricer, it's easy to put the cap on and press. There's a good flexibility to the unit and clean up was a breeze. Highly recommend. In fact my friend ended up buying one per my recommendation.
