The Balta Brush Special Needs Therapressure Brush is a sensory brush designed by Patricia Wilbarger, MED, and the famous developer of brushing therapy. This oval shaped brush is easier to use than regular sensory brushes, thanks to its attached handle and ergonomic design that fits comfortably into the hand. According to Patricia Wilbarger, "the high density of the bristles, make it an ideal brush for the body." Review: You don't need to be in therapy for this to help your child - Edit: A year later and brush is still in the same condition it was when i bought it, quality item! Ok so I bought this for my autistic daughter because she has all kinds of sensory issues. She seems to get a sensory overload and will have a meltdown. Now we never had her diagnosed with sensory processing or ever got any help trying to regulate her, so I researched and found out that people basically used these to brush their child so many times a day in a certain way to help them de escalate. I watched YouTube videos on how they did it and I got this brush. So what I've found out that it can actually be very helpful and you can do it however u want. My daughter loves it, She will be having a melt down and we will just rub it on her skin and she just calms right down!!!! She has brought it to me now to have me rub her arms with it. It's definitely helped us alot and it's definitely worth having around. The price is a little high for $8 but it is a quality brush and will last a long time.

**Q: Will this brush be a good nail brush, or not? I am aware of its intended purpose, but looking for a good nail brush.**
A: Not sure. It is similar to the brush surgeons use to wash up with before gloving up. We use it for it's intended purpose (for sensory integration) so I may not be the best person to answer this question.
