It handles rougher treatment than a regular trumpet (you won't necessarily cry when you drop it because it doesn't dent - although, plastic can SNAP off).

A: Yes, the valves need to be oiled, there is a small pot of oil in the package.

A: As I recall you can use a standard trumpet mouthpiece.

**Q: Would you recommend this for Highschool marching band practice?**
A: I wouldn’t recommend for marching band. I remember my metal trumpet taking a bit of a beating by the end of a marching band season.
