Review: Magnesium checks just got so much better - Mom/baby RN who frequently has patients on magnesium where I have to do hourly neuro checks. Most of the nurses on my floor use the head of their stethoscope to do these checks. I did that for a couple weeks on orientation and it was always so difficult! A preceptor recommended getting a reflex hammer like this after I used hers and loved it. I'm now using this little hammer and I am able to find reflexes on the knee soooo much easier than with a stethoscope.
