After much searching I came across these and I am very pleased I did.I realised that they were going to be a compromise, due to the price, but to my uneducated ear they are perfectly adequate, the volume is surprisingly loud for such a small speaker.They paired easily with my laptop and the audio cable link also worked without problem. As someone has said there is a voice that tells you what's going on when you start, but I knew about that and can live with it. At my time of life it' can be useful to know if something is, and how, it's connected or, ready to connect etc.I would certainly recommend these speakers but haven't had them long enough to comment on their longevity ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THIS IS THE ONE. The very first thing I noticed upon receiving it was how well packaged it was. Beautiful! This speaker is so solid and well built. This well built unit is easy to use. When you turn it on you will get a voice prompt that it is ready for pairing. It's that easy. The button has a beautiful blue backlight on it! It has awesome bass without distortion even at it's max volume level and let me tell you, this thing is LOUD! When I first played music on this speaker my father was sitting in the room and turned and said " I cannot believe that amount of sound is coming out of that speaker". He is a musician and was blown away. You also can receive, place and answer calls on this speaker. You also have the option to use this speaker wired via 3.5 jack which they include with the speaker which is a nice little bonus. I have two other Bluetooth speakers and this one crushes them both. I was using this speaker at 30ft away and it was still working like a charm. Don't forget you can connect devices like computers, tablets, laptop and smartphone. I got about 4 hours use out of the box before needing a charge. Ive owned smaller Bluetooth speakers but always found them to be a little tinny in the price range i was looking, Ive always tended to just use the Hifi/surround sound.Im off on holiday and thought i would try out this speaker due to the great reviews as i needed something for beside the pool and in the apartment while travelling.Upon receiving the speaker today the packaging was great and of good quality, The speaker comes with two cables one for charging and a audio cable if you are not using Bluetooth. Great to see that!The speaker has great build quality and feels very solid in its design and structure. The speaker is light compact and fits into the palm of your hand. Its looks good too!The performance............ well for the money this is the speaker to go for i believe. It really does sound great, i have to agree with all the positive reviews here.
