These are the best fitting and most attractive slacks I have ever worn. The fit is accurate and the short length is perfect for my 5’3” frame. The back pockets come sewn shut and you need to gently tear the stitching in order to use them. I don’t bother anymore though because they’re quite shallow and not really useful. The front pockets are not standard side pockets but are located more in the front under the waistband. The pockets aren’t optimal if you tuck in your shirt as the items in them could look bulky. Personally I never tuck my shirt and find these welt pockets perfect to hold my phone and small items. This pocket style works really well for me but may not be for everyone. I’ve been losing weight and have worn several sizes, all have fit consistently according to the posted size chart. They machine wash and dry just fine, but I don’t use powdered detergent or oxiclean in the wash as they often collect some of it on their surface, requiring them to be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove it. I’ve seen other reviews complaining of white residue after washing. I’ve found that this can be avoided by using only liquid detergent.
