Has processing programme if desired but preferred plain scans with photoshop later Connects to PC via USB line and I have scanned over 28,000 35 mm slides. Strongly advise using universal slide carriages and engaging slide forward adapter on slide change lever as this is virtually jam free, scans into Windows laptop left alongside. Have tried all other mags and tends to not fully push the slide in or jam with LKM. With universal mags can be safely left to work through a full mag while numbering scans automatically. Have completed scans of all my slides between 1963 and 1999 and processed in Photoshop. Can also be set up to use Apple Mac. **Q: Anyone got one of these too sell** A: There is a possibility I will sell mine, I have one small job to complete first. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent batch slide scanner *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 November 2017* This scanner makes it realistic to scan thousands of slides. I've been using it for several weeks, and on the whole it works very well. I've been very happy with the quality of the scans.It does struggle sometimes to scan slides in thin mounts, where my experience has been that they sometimes load in crooked, but I also found that the success rate was improved significantly by using a Braun Paximat rotary magazine, and also scanning in reverse sequence (i.e., instructing the scanner to scan from 100 to 1 rather than 1 to 100). Crooked slides are easy enough to adjust and rescan, but it does mean a little rework is required after the first set of scans.I was slightly apprehensive, based on online reviews, that the scanner would need continual monitoring. However, out of maybe 4000 slides scanned so far, I have only had two jams, and in both instances the scanner recognised a jam and stopped itself. For workflow, therefore, I can load up a magazine of 100, set it going, leave it alone for a few hours, come back and rescan any crooked slides, then start on the next batch when ready.The supplied software is a little clunky, but adequate. If I were wanting exceptionally high colour fidelity, I'd buy more sophisticated software and calibration targets, but for the vast majority of my slides, this is not merited, and it would be more cost effective to get these professional scanned on fully calibrated kit. To my eye, the scanned images look just fine - in many ways better than on the projector screen. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Use a Braun Magazine *by T***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 March 2013* The scanner was supplied with two very small magazines which just did not work. I tried a universal magazine. to do this you have to deloy a small plastic device on the slide transport arm (not well described in the manual). With this in place, I managed to scan a full magazine of slides. When I loaded a second magazine, one of the slides jammed, and immediately broke the little bit of plastic on the transport arm. This piece is mentioned in the manual as being specifically excluded from any waranty. I read a lot of the manual, and also recognised the general form of the scanner as a Braun projector, and so bought it some Braun slide magazines. These do not require the flimsy piece of plastic, and they work very well. I cannot immagine why the scanner is not supplied with a couple of these magazines.The software supplied with the scanner was ok and permitted unattended operation which is what a scanner like this is all about. However the software labels the files produced with a user entered prefix and then the magazine position, which is ok but every magazine of slides would end up using the same filenames. it needs to be like a camera, and just start counting allocating a different serial number to each slide.The scanner had "magic touch" dust and scratch removal. I found this to work really well, with only a few mistakes in some hundreds of slides. I really like this feature.The scanner has now scanned several hundred slides which is what I bought it for. it is very slow taking about 2 hours per magazine at less than full resolution. The results are great, especially with kodachrome, (which some people seem to have difficulty with).The 12v power supply also failed on mine, but I couldnt be bothered to send it back and just ordered and £10 replacement.The scanner is doing what I bought it for and doing it well (if slowly). I am happy with the results. If you are buying one, just remember to get a couple of the Braun magazines for reliable operation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent *by B***J on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 January 2017* I have now scanned over 1000 slides and the scanner seems to perform well - i have done some without using the 'magic touch' facility and dust etc can be seen on the scanned pictures, when using magic touch the scanned images are excellent.
