My biggest hurdle is that my house is brick and stone so there isn't a place to mount the doorbell. Right now it's just hanging on the door but I think I can mount it to the front door and the video shows through the storm door clearly. My other house isn't as insulated so in cold weather the inside of the storm door ices up and interferes with the clarity of the video. The fact that it is a doorbell, which by design is on the outside of the house, I find it odd that it isn't waterproof so it would be perfect for an apt building but a house is a little different. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Other than that, it was a good purchase.
