Also, my dog is psycho (she's even on doggie psych meds). She's already gone right for the throat of the upstairs neighbors German Shepherd who has an easy 40+ lbs on her. In order to make the gate fit I had to have the sides of the gate (the part that screws in/out that attaches to the walls) it just made it too unstable. I didn't even know these things existed until I was over at a friend's house and they had them.They're perfect! I feel more comfortable knowing if/when she sees another dog being walked by and jumps up on the gate it won't give way. Of course I would never leave her outside unattended.Another plus having these, they seem to keep the gate in its spot longer than before using them. For some reason the nitwits upstairs can't figure out how to close the gate without slamming it. Or maybe they do, but just ignorant?
