I bought a Sony Cybershot DSC WX-150 camera and even when not in use the battery would not hold a charge. After reading some reviews of the camera I found out that others had this problem too. Rather than have to mess with customer service, I searched desertcart for the heck of it to see what they had and I found this product. For the price I decided to try it. Wow. There are TWO batteries that come in their own plastic cases, plus a battery charger with different adapters for charging just about anywhere. From the other reviews, it sounds like these batteries are much better than the one that originally came with the camera, but I would have to say that the charger is also better than the one that came with the camera! With Sony's charger you have to plug it into the wall and then use a USB cable to connect your camera to the charger. This charger plugs right into the wall and the battery plugs right into it. SO much more convenient than having to keep track of an extra cord (especially while on vacation)! On top of that, this charger has a light on it that shows it's charging. The light goes from red to orange to green as it charges...so you can keep track of the progress. I only just received this product, but so far I am VERY impressed with it. I am planning to go on a one week vacation soon...and take A LOT of pictures, so I will see how this set holds up and update my review when I get back. Update: Two and a half years later and these batteries are still going strong. They are very dependable. The battery has corresponding contacts. Put the battery into the charger with these contacts aligned, plug the charger into a wall outlet (be sure the outlet is not controlled by a wall switch) and leave it charging until the red light turns green. The directions are on the back of the charger -- it doesn't matter if you plug it in right side up or up-side down. The car cord: big end plugs into the cigarette lighter socket of your car and the small end plugs into the hole on the top of the charger. Note: it may not be charging unless your engine is running. **Q: does it work with sony DSC-WX100?** A: Yes, Wasabi part number is BTR-BN1-JWP, it is 1200mAh. Long lasting. Replaces NP-BN1. **Q: Does it work with sony cyber shot dsc w800 camera?** A: I don't know but if you scroll to the bottom of the page it lists the cameras it fits. That's what I did. **Q: For the Sony DSC-W730: can I charge this battery by plugging my camera cable directly into a USB port in my computer without using the AC adapter?** A: If you always charged your battery this was - then this battery will do the same thing inside your camera. Sony manual says this "Charging by connecting to a computer -- the battery can be charged by connecting the camera to a computer using a dedicated USB cable".
