Quality is not affected by lense diameter. Larger diameter cameras on other TD scopes may have slightly brighter LEDs The TD 500 is mainly designed I think for engineering use. For longer focal focus distance and more depth of field you may need to look deep into the spec of none articulated larger size cameras with more powerful LEDs. it's horses for courses. The camera is not interchangeable on the TD 500. The TD500 screen pic quality is HD to look at on its screen, but bear in mind saved or exported jpgs are very small size and not HI res. That is a great shame. Otherwise it is an all round brilliant device with many applications.
