This allows a modern TV to connect to an legacy stereo system, and create a hybrid "surround sound" solution in the living room. On a budget this is much more economical than a fully-fledged HiFi unit, and still gives much improved sound coverage.From experience, the unit doesn't get hot from hours of use pleasingly. No issues with audio quality, which remains crystal clear.
