I installed it anyway thinking it would charge in the car after install. I used it for a couple weeks, carrying two fobs around with me and literally had it charging for hours at a time in some cases. It never got to 3.0v and never properly functioned. I thought it possible I messed up the install, but ordered another battery to be sure. Battery from another seller arrived at 3 volts, worked from day one.
