### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars

    Absolutely brilliant for the price

*by M***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 October 2017*

I've had this for a long time now and it's maintained its sense of quality. The software is fast and fluid. It takes about two seconds to boot up Netflix or Amazon. I've had 3 software errors, all minor, in a year of using it every day. The screen quality is excellent. The view angle is good enough that unless you're determined to watch from as side-on as possible you won't notice any deterioration. The only complaint is that I would have liked more than three HDMI inputs. (HDMI switchers are notoriously horrible things, and I have two that simply don't work.) I'm sure the latest £3500 Samsung is better technically, but for the price, this was an absolute steal, and I love it.

overall good enough low-end 4K TV

*by B***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 March 2017*

overall good enough low-end 4K TV.few comments regarding my understanding of the product and purchasing experience.1. on the product details it says "bluetooth:yes". this particular model DOES NOT have bluetooth support, confirmed with samsung.2. as a low end model, it only comes with the standard remote control. i bought the bluetooth smart remote from ebay myself (which is so much sleeker) only to find out that the TV supports no bluetooth. after liaising with the seller (replies promptly), they acknowledged the issue and offered full refund and free collection of tv. we agreed for them to issue me a refund for the cost of the accessory i have bought. happy with that, as i still want a TV.3. this is about Samsung, not the seller: the TV is advertised as HDR capable or something similar. HDR is for this year what curved screens were the year before for TVs- a big marketing point, and possibly a bit of a flop. i personally enjoy HDR content and can tell the difference-sometimes not always. bottom line with this TV is that it has an 8-bit panel and not a 10-bit panel (which is required to display full HDR content). so again samsung-and i suspect not just them- employ cheap marketing tricks similar to 5 years ago when they were fooling people with terms "1080p, 1080i, 1080ready and HD ready TV". so the TV recognises the HDR signal, accepts it, processes it and then simply throws away most of the info contained in it because it can not display it. in my head thats the equivalent of advertising a cars top speed as 300kph just because the speedometers reads all the way up to 300. thats just bad marketing on Samsungs part.4. oddly enough, it does not seem to support Picture in Picture. presumably the hardware is capable of this, samsung has just locked this feature in this model to force people to buy the higher end ones. shame on them! also, rather inconveniently audio out is digital only to 3.5mm! other than that its OK, it would have been better if the had 1 or 2 more HDMI ports, but such is life.bottom line is this. if you are coming from a 1080 TV it offers a slightly better picture quality and smoothness during playback. 4K content at the moment in the UK goes as follows. Amazon Prime/Video (kudos to Amazon), Premium Netflix subscription on some titles only, YouTube, whatever BlueRay, media player or PC you can connect to the TV.Personally from a reasonable distance and with the upscaling algorithms in place, I cant see a difference between 4K and 1080p. You can tell the difference if you freeze frame and go close to the TV- like inches close. (there was a YouTube video where on 4K you could see the little arteries and veins of an animals eye during a close up shot, whereas in 1080p you couldnt-big deal!).its a low priced 4K TV so that one can join the 4K train, a TV which should be good enough for the next 4-5 years. and that is not bad for the asking price which is just over 500gbp. if it doesnt suffer some sort of malfunction, 500/5=100gbp a year to own a reasonably specced TV. I pay more than that per year for things that I use less every day..bottom line is that its a good enough purchase, good value for money as with higher-spec models the law of diminishing returns really hits you hard.....
