It held up for a very rainy day and doesn’t seem like it will tear on small impact. You do get confused about the wet and dry side once taken off and putting back on (because no visual or color markers), but that’s really not a complaint for this price point. So much better than flimsy polyethylene ponchos.

They work for what they are and the price. They are not super thick plastic but they are also not thin crap. Mid crap level is more like it. Why give it a 4 star? We'll, because it's a raincoat that you can reuse and you don't get wet...which is the point. The one star deduction is for the lower quality material AND the buttons. If you want to use this, the buttons are not easy to unfasten. Hard button + thinner plastic = tears. If you don't want tears in the plastic, then make sure you carefully unfasten the buttons individually. No magic mike moments of ripping open the raincoat thinking you can cover yourself up again. 👌
