Review: I Absolutely Love It - I must admit I ummed and arghed for a long time before taking the plunge and buying this pressure cooker. I've never used or owned one before. I contacted Kuhn Rikon customer services for advice between 2 different models and they were very helpful. I did look at a couple of other brands in stores, but just wasn't impressed with how they looked and felt - some of them looked quite complicated! I wish I had bought the Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker years ago. I love it - it is so easy to use and not at all scary. It looks really sleek and clean in design, and when under pressure there is hardly any steam loss, so no worries about windows steaming up! It is also really easy to clean. So far I've cooked potatoes and veggies, which only take about 8 mins, I've cooked a wonderful beef and onion pie filling and instead of about 2.5 hours it took about 20 mins once under pressure, and a couple of boiled gammon joints which again take about 20 mins. All have been so tasty!! I was surprised how quickly when taken off the heat it naturally reduces pressure - you only need a couple of minutes before you can open the lid. I just need to experiment a bit more with what I cook in it. A while after I had it, I also bought the 3 section basket for it too, which is fab also. If you've been umming and aarghing - go for it - I haven't regretted it at all - and I don't think you will either!

**Q: Can you fry chicken with this?**
A: I have done it. Grease/oil is hard on the spring loaded valve and becomes sticky over time. I do bbq and teriyaki chicken regularly. Amazing pan. I've owned this one since1990Bob

**Q: Can I clean it in a dishwasher?**
A: The lid truly is self-cleaning, so no need there. Mine is shiny after years of use. Occasionally I wash the base in the dishwasher and it works well. As I recall, hand-washing is recommended, but doing this has not caused any damage in mine.

**Q: Can you cook a cup of dry beans? How long does it take? My old presto takes 40 min without soaking and 20 with soaking.**
A: We typically make about 4 cups at one time. It takes about 20 to 25 without soaking. Soaked beans ate faster.How this helps.Bob

**Q: If I want to pressure fry fish, do I need to add water?  Or will frying oil suffice?**
A: Because fish takes very little time to cook I'd fry with the lid off unless you want fish soup..I have three different size pressure cookers and use all sizes sometimes with the lids off as a frying pan so they are in constant use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Favourite pan!

I'm absolutely loving this pan! I am a very enthusiastic pressure cooking convert and I bought this one to replace my Fissler which developed a fault after a few months. I wasn't sure about the size but actually this is the most handy size and shape because it comes up to pressure very quickly compared with larger pans. It's simple design is very user friendly, no dials, buttons or switches or anything like that to set, you just put food in, close the lid and put it on the heat. The button indicator pops up when it's at pressure and there are two rings on it for low and high pressure, you just have to get the heat just right to maintain the pressure. It's very efficient requiring very little heat to maintain pressure. Everything I have cooked in it has turned out absolutely perfect! I LOVE it!
