Review: Great AM/FM Radio. Picks up many AM stations especially at night. FM works great. Nice Sound. - This radio really does a nice job of pulling out even weak low power daytime and distant am stations at night and makes them clear as if it's a local station. These radios have a digital tuning receiver chip and it seems to have an AGC circuit that kicks in to pull those weak stations better. Works very well and better than a conventional AM/FM radio even better than my car radio. A little tricky on the am tuning but especially at night it picks up a allot of weak stations. FM works very well. It is a great radio for emergency use or backup.

This radio really does a nice job of pulling out even weak low power daytime and distant am stations at night and makes them clear as if it's a local station. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems to meet my needs

I bought the Retekess TR633 to replace an old Sony ICF-F10 portable radio that was having trouble with reliable tuning. But I picked this model because it had an external AM antenna port. There is an AM station that I have trouble getting clear reception in the late afternoon/evening and I am hoping I can improve reception with an external AM antenna. I have already tried it with a Tecsun AN-100 AM loop antenna using a Cable Creation 3ft audio cable (3.5mm plug). It does work but I need to experiment with other antenna ideas. As for the radio, I like the location of the on/off, FM/AM switch on the front of the radio -- much easier to use. I like the large tuning scale -- I marked the scale for the most frequently used stations so it is easy to adjust to the station I want and It has solved the problem I was having with my old Sony radio. It has a 3 inch speaker and it delivers good audio for a portable radio. I also like the fact that it can be operated with either AC or battery power. I have only been using it for 10 days but so far I am happy with it.
