The smaller pieces like the guard rails and plants can come out easily but it hasn’t hindered play in anyway. While I didn’t bother to fuss with the lights for the volcano rock balls (so I can’t say if they work) every other feature works and is truly incredible! The sounds, the lights, the smoke - unlike any other toy we’ve had. My son also got some Indiana Jones toys for Christmas and has been using those with the volcano as well. I really couldn’t recommend this enough and plan to gift this to others in the future. If you have any trouble with the smoke/mist, just take it out and prime the button a few times and it made ours start working. A few of the railing falls off easy but it still awesome.
