I was pleasantly surprised. It's very easy to set up and looks pretty cool in an office or bedroom. Its a small lamp, but pretty heavy. I like being able to adjust the brightness. I can't leave it on as a nightlight though. If you are looking for one you can leave on in a bedroom all night, this is not for you. Since it is a block of salt that you put on a very bright LED light unattached, the brightness from the light does tend to gleam out through the sides.I was hesitant to buy when others said that the salt doesn't get warm, but I find that it does. I can't speak for other benefits of having a salt lamp, but it creates a beautiful atmosphere and has a very calming presence on my house. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice but needs bigger block *by C***K on Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2018* It's ok. My complaint is that the salt block doesn't cover the entire base so there is an edge around all sides of the block where the bright light shines up.
