It may not damage them completely, but I would not chance it. These brushes are not super high quality, but they will do the job until you purchase higher quality brushes. Always use a brush you don't care about when using acetone **Q: Are these good for ink?** A: I use with watercolor, but I think they would work with ink just fine. **Q: will this work with latex paint?** A: Works with acrylics **Q: Will this work with exterior latex paint?** A: Would not recommend it. Problem solved, right? Not so fast. I also had to paint all the fine details for each of the 10 figures in the set. That's where these brushes come in. I was a little skeptical of the quality since they were so inexpensive but I was proven wrong as soon as I started using them. The bristles were well made and did not shed, the brush handles were very ergonomic and comfortable to use and the bristles held paint very well. They also cleaned up pretty easily. I couldn't imagine trying to get good detail out of a set of cheap dollar store hobby brushes. These felt like very high end brushes at a very affordable price. I hoped that he would not be disappointed that he didn't get the real thing but he was super happy with them.
