All surfaces must be clean, free from dust, grease and other contamination. Wet all surfaces to give a good key. Use straight from tub. Soften with a small amount of water if required. Work into joints, gradually increase heat over 4 hours, and fill any cracks with fresh cement for a smoke-tight seal. Always moisten surfaces prior to applying. Always apply heat gradually. Pizza stones are made from clay, ceramic, or cordierite. I would not recommend this product to make a pizza stone. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me again. Kindest Regards Lyndsey **Q: My outside step need doing and bit patio to, would this fill the gaps?** A: This is fire cement so designed for high temperatures (gaps in hearths etc). I dont know how strong it would be used as a normal mortar exposed to weight/frost/rain etc Im sure you could buy some ready mixed mortar more suitable for that job. **Q: Is this suitable to fix replacement fireplace hearth tiles in an open fire?** A: Its not really designed for that its more to seal edges of flues etc. It may be too firm for seating tiles properly but you may be able to let it down with some water. **Q: Is it waterproof?** A: Good Morning, Thank you for your enquiry.
