I am very pleased to say that this worked like a charm in keeping my beloved plants alive in my dark garage. The clip is very strong and I did construct something to hold it up so that there was overhead light. I can turn on each lamp individually and adjust the position easily (and it stays!). The cord is a good length. One thing I will say (you live & you learn), is that you need to make sure the light doesn’t touch any leaves and it’s not too close - it will burn the leaves. I never left these on overnight or when I was not at home - they get warm. I never used the timer function so I can’t speak directly on that feature. I saved the box so that when I am finished using them for the winter I can pack them up neatly and store until next winter.
