It has scratches and paint gouges in it from just normal wear. I had already paid to have some minor work done to touch it up but did not last long.The bumper cover mounted right over the top of all of it with pre-adhered 3M tape. It was very easy to line up and it's stuck on very well. The cover is made of quality plastic and appears that it will hold up over time. Lips over bumper nicely to prevent scratching or dings to edge when loading or unloading.Cons: However, Manufacturer should pay more attention to 3M tape contours especially around both (width) edges, preferably continuous and not be too stingy with length pieces.Instal: Center and mark before removing 3M tape. Ensure it is touching the back first with the front slightly elevated (at an angle)before laying flat. This way it will fit snugly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy to install -- looks like an authentic Nissan accessory. *by J***S on November 22, 2021* I should have bought this product years ago, as the bumper of my Nissan Rogue SL has been the victim of a few objects striking it when unloading the cargo area. The product was very easy to install, according to the following:-Open the rear liftgate.-Clean the area.-Do a mock fit.-Peel the plastic from the tape.-Put the guard in place and apply slight even pressure across the width of it, from left to right.Overall, I am not sure of how strong the glue actually is, and that part worries me. We have cold winters in the Northeast and only time will tell. As far as durability of the product, it is a bumper guard and not impervious to scratches, etc. If you drop something on it or wipe with something abrasive, I am sure it will be scratched.*One minor note here is that the underside was a little scuffed in places.
