Here's my method:1) Put bar in the bag.2) Use a food saver to manually seal the open end.3) Poke a small hole in the bag to allow air to escape without building up air bubble pressure.4) Use a HF heat gun on low setting keeping it approximately 6 inches away from the bar. Heat opposite sides to keep the bar centered.5) Once the sides are snugged, I heat it enough to shrink the packing smooth and snug.The only time that I have the shrink film bags split is when I don't poke the hole and pressure builds up or if I get the heat gun too close. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ buy them....and a sealer! *by M***E on March 29, 2015* Great deal. I use them for soaps and it gave them a great look. They shrink down quite a bit, about 40%. I'm purchasing a sealer so I can seal the open end prior to using the heat gun. It's difficult to keep the open end together when your hitting it with the heat gun, sometimes it shrinks too much leaving an opening or overlaps and looks bulky. The sealer will make it easier. No more close call burnt finger tips. So, they work great, but you may need to buy a sealer to really get the professional look. The sometimes give off a plastic smell, not terrible and usually when you overheat the plastic. So be sure to have the gun on low and about 5" away, this helps to shrink even & without odor. I'm purchasing more...they're awesome. ### ⭐⭐ Skunky Odor *by A***R on November 30, 2015* These arrived smelling strongly like skunk. My supplier was Betterpak if that makes any difference. Completely unusable for soaps, as I had intended. I tried spreading them out and airing them out for a few days and that didn't help. I even used a few in the hopes that the smell wouldn't be as bad after using it. Nothing works. These things stink.Aside from the odor, they are ok as shrink wrap. Each one has a tiny hole through it that sometimes bursts open when heating.
