Lucky me, because I want what you want lol! **Q: Is this lamp chargeable or does it have stay plugged in?** A: It has to stay plugged in, it has three settings, 4 hours, 8 hours and 12 hours. I love mine my plants are growing and beautiful. **Q: I don't have an outlet nearby this particular plant, can the light be charged and then turned on?** A: Get a portable USB portable charging box for $30 or so bucks. Just charge that & plug your light into it and you can make it or any USB device chargeable. **Q: Do these lights get hot. Any worry about fire?** A: I just set mine up today and 8 hours later I came back here because mine feel very hot. Which no other grow lights I have have ever gotten even warm and I leave them on for 12hours. I might return these because it’s so hot.
