## Description

The Ferdinand, designated Sd Kfz 184, was designed with the Tiger (P) chassis as the basis. Mounting a 8.8cm KwK Pak43/2 L/71. The initial delivery of 90 vehicles were ready by the end of May 1943 and were used in the summer offensive at Kursk. Initial vehicles had no secondary armament but this was later add in the form of a hull 7.92mm MG34.

Ferdinands also saw service in Italy in 1943/44



Introduced in 1940, the T-34/76 was an excellent tank which took the Germans completely by surprise. With it's effective 76mm gun, it's sloping armour and wide tracks the T-34 was well suited to fighting in the terrible conditions of the Russian winter.  Indeed the Germans went as far as to copy the design when they built the infamous Panther. 

The Model 1942, sometimes known as the T-34/76C, was armed with the 76.2mm F-34 gun  and 2 x 7.62mm DT machine guns and had frontal armour of 45mm.
