It enabled me to split a hefty recipe into two decent sized fruit cakes, which was very useful over the Christmas period. Lining cake tins is an absolute bore and a chore. I did take the precaution of putting a layer of buttered paper at the bottom of the tins, but did nothing at all about the sides. I am a great fan of this range of products. The silicone "tins" are more robust than average and they make cake making much much easier. I shall test the performance of one of them on Sachertorte before too long!!!
