It is NOT a long grain rice and is not supposed to be. My wife and I prefer Morelos rice for its exceptional taste and texture. Verde Valle is careful to label these packages as Morelos rice (they also sell long grain varieties which are NOT labeled Morelos, and presumably are not.)
