For a pad at this price point, I feel that's a completely unexpected improvement to the overall product. They also shipped a much higher quality male-to-male USB-A cable than before. The first couple I got were low quality and caused power drops when jostled, so I bought a better quality one to use. This third one came with a much higher quality cable as well, which I'm going to try for a while and see if it holds up. Buy this one, you won't be disappointed! Seems very durable and is very quiet. I monitor my temps on my comp and it does a decent job of keeping my gaming laptop cool. There are different settings for the fan and the impressive lighting. You can see the settings on a backlit led indicator. I have a Dell G5 15 and it is a rather large gaming laptop, it fits perfectly; you can set your laptop at different viewing heights as well.
