The Slancio coffee maker is characterized by elegant and modern shapes, has an ergonomic handle and a drip spout that allows you to pour the coffee precisely. The handle and lid are athermal and the spare parts are of universal size. Review: I've been using this espresso maker now for several weeks, and I love it. I bought it after a trip to France and Spain, and being spoiled by the coffee we'd get there. My drip coffee maker just wasn't good enough after that. This pot works exactly the same way as the original Bialetti, and any number of other moka-style pots. The bottom chamber holds the water, which is heated and forced up through the ground coffee into the top chamber. Not real espresso, which involves steam, but much better than drip coffee, and a decent approximation to the cafes au lait/con leche I got in Europe. You can adjust the strength of the coffee by how much you pack into the filter. I like it filled to the top loosely and not packed in. Where I live we have a lot of local coffee roasters who pride themselves on seeking out the best coffees in the world, but I prefer the pre-ground European espressos, like Illy and Lavazza. I find the pot itself very attractive in design, and the bottom is nice and thick and heavy, with no welded seams that can eventually crack under pressure. The lid hinge is sturdy, and the handle doesn't get too hot to grab when the coffee is done. When I ordered mine, I wasn't sure from the picture if the stainless steel was shiny or satin, but it turned out to be satin, which I have come to like very much.
