The Donkey Long Tong started around a real fire with 4 people fed up with burning their hands. Four and a half years later and we still handmake every tong in South Africa, the same way: 304 food-grade stainless steel, solid brass rivets, and white oak handles, finished by hand. At 32 inches, this is a proper fire tool. Long enough to reach deep into a fire pit, shift logs in a pizza oven, or move coals under a smoker without leaning into the heat. Heavy enough to feel like a tool. The Donkey Long Tong is a Father's Day gift for the dad who lives at the grill, the camper who never leaves the fire and the friend who runs every BBQ. VERY finely made, excellent craftsmanship.. one can tell they were made to last! Very good quality and great to use. They look and feel very comfortable to use, even though the length might seem intimidating at first, but THAT is what gives them the advantage for it’s usability.

Used for the first time last night (have a medium size Breeo fire pit) and these tongs worked amazing! Super sturdy/light-weight made with quality materials and handled larger logs very well although is best for small-medium. One of the best aspects of these is that the tongs can get the smallest ember/coal to move around in the pit and due to the high-grade steel they never felt warm at all! These are definitely worth the price, A++!!
