The top of the lamp and the pole is made of a lightweight stainless steel and the LED is a blueish color.Two tips I would give:1. The stake at the bottom appears to be flimsy but I've owned products like this, and the flimsiness is by design so the stake doesn't break. So just know that going in. If you want to place these in dirt, soften the dirt first with some water or loosen it up with a tool, otherwise you'll have a hard time getting these in the ground.2. Don't put these in shaded areas or areas that don't get a lot of sunlight. Indirect light isn't enough to give them a good charge and they won't get bright. If you give them enough sunlight, they work great.Overall I couldn't ask for much more. I love the design and plan on buying more of these. ### ⭐ Do not last long *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2018* Start off nice and bright. After the first month the light dimmed tremendously. I thought it was the batteries so I changed all the batteries and no improvement in light quality. I notice the solar panel on top became foggy and corroded from the weather. It wouldn't wipe off when I tried to clean it. Makes me think they aren't getting the appropriate sunlight. The pieces stick inside of each other, theres no sscrewing anything in. It is hard to get them in the ground without softening the dirt first, but they stay put well, even through rain. I like them a lot. the solar panels are covered with a piece of plastic for packaging. one of mine had the plastic melted into the crack between the solar panel and the outer plastic. My lights were sitting outside on the porch on a very hot day when they were delivered and I wasnt home so Im positive it was from that. overall I give them 5 stars and Ill be purchasing more in the future to light up my walk way some more.
