Review: Very good quality - After looking around it was a little pricey but it is very good quality. It comes in a heavy duty paper bag so make sure your home to retrieve it if there is a possibility of rain/snow ect. It taste fantastic so fresh and I milled mine very fine and I got some amazing soft fluffy breads from it without mixing in any ap flour like I've had to do in the past.

I went next door and received my delivery on time. Not the vendors fault! With that said, this grain is the CLEANEST grain I have ever used. It's simply speaking LOVELY!!! It came dry and the expiration date wasn't till 2027 on the bag. I haven't milled it yet, or baked with it, I will let ya'll know after I do. But, the grain itself looks wonderful!

**Q: what is the protein content?**
A: I looked it up it is 14.75%. When we first got our grinder we tried several different thpes of wheat. We like the taste and texture of our bread with Parie Gold. Have been using it for 5 years. I can make everything with it but pie crust. Cake,cookies,breads and biscuts. Highly recomend Wheat Montana Parie Gold

A: Montana, I think.  BUT ... I just got a REALLY good deal on wheat from the LOCAL MORMON LDS store.  They are all over but this is my local store. 

Look, I've bought online, regional, co-op and commercial.  I even bought seed from a local Southern States (complete with non-food particles) which turned out fine to grind.  I know people have to make a buck ... but not these LDS folks.  I bought 25# bags at $10-$12, basically cost.  Find them and feel good about it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best white spring wheat available for making bread, especially 100% whole wheat bread

While harvests may have a lot of variations between years as to protein, and other key characteristics, this wheat is the best white spring wheat for bread that I have used. I have used these "Prairie Gold" (Golden 86) berries for over 25-years making literally "tons" of bread. This makes an especially good if you want to make100% whole wheat sandwich bread, has plenty of gluten and a light bran. Excellent wheat berries. I also use this as a component flour (after grinding the berries) in sourdough when I want more gluten than in normal all-purpose or "bread flour".
