Even just moving the bag a little taking it in and out of storage each year, these metal branch connectors soon started making holes in the fairly thick bag. I started looking for a box to store the tree inane this product came up on the results. I already have several Really Useful storage boxes and really like them so, although I thought this was a little expensive for what it is, I bought one and it arrived quickly. My seven foot tree comes apart into bundles of branches and three poles and a stand - all of which fitted into this box without any problem. It had enough room to fit the small box of Christmas lights in there too. Can't speak to the longevity of the box but it feels decent quality but I'm only going to stack it in the attic space so it should last for years and be better than the bag. My only gripe is that it is a little difficult to carry. There is a locking handle at either of the narrow ends and just above these, are two handholds. This means that you must carry it across your body making it awkward to get through doorways without manhandling it under arm with one of the narrow ends out in front of you. So some sort of strong nylon strap handles fixed at the bottom and centred in the middle so the box can be lifted that way would have been a nice feature. Otherwise the box arrived quickly, packed in a cardboard outer box and was undamaged and delivered fast.. I've bought another for my other tree which cardboard box is showing a lot of wear and tear. This is because without the 2 supplied shelf inserts the side bow outwards and, the end handles will not click into place properly, meaning the lid will not be held firmly in place. With the shelves in place this seems to be resolved and the expected sturdiness is created.We have a tree which is 8ft high and 3ft wide. We could fit the whole broken down tree without the shelves into a single box. I got the impression that they were included - Was I wrong?** A: I checked with Really Useful Products. In short they sell two versions of the 77 litre Christmas tree box: one without bauble and light trays (circa £23) and the box with the bauble and light trays (circa £32). To these prices add delivery from thrm (£11.99) plus VAT. Amazon, with their lower delivery costs due to their distribution network, seem to be selling the box without trays for £30! The light and bauble trays are £5.47 each plus £11.99 delivery plus VAT. I have just ordered two light trays and two bauble trays from Really Useful Products at a cost of £35.47 including delivery and VAT. This box is large enough to hold a collapsed 3m x 4m gazebo, including all poles, the material roof, 2 side panels, pegs and guide ropes. Very pleased with it. The box itself is very sturdy and although only had a week or 2, I believe it will be very durable.
